Deborah R. Roy, MPH, RN, COHN-S, CET, CSP is the President and Owner of SafeTech. Deborah is a Certified Occupational Health Nurse Specialist, a Certified Environmental Trainer, and a Certified Safety Professional. She has
twenty-five years of experience in health and safety with specialties in Best Practices, Regulatory Compliance, Chemical Issues, Organizational Design, and Ergonomics. She is currently a Board Member of the American Board for Occupational Health Nursing; Safety and Health Council of Northern New England; a Member of the Downeast Chapter of the American Industrial Hygiene Association, and the National Environmental, Safety and Health Training Association (NESHTA); and is an Editorial Review Panel member for the Journal of the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN). Deborah has a MPH in Occupational Safety and Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BSN from Northeastern University in Boston . She has a long standing professional affiliation with the American Society of Safety Engineers as a speaker, and as a past member of the Finance Committee. Deborah is the Region 1 representative for EPA’s Compliance Advisory Panel (CAP) and the Maine DEP – CAP,
Chair. As a nationally recognized speaker on a variety of safety and health topics, as well as best practices and management systems, Deborah travels extensively, speaking to convention-sized audiences. The author of several professional articles in peer-reviewed journals, Deborah received the Golden Pen Award in 1999.
